So how funny is this?! That friend I was talking about last time, he's the new guy on
Bent, replacing Sasha! So that means one person in that house that I get along with, which is an improvement from my previous record of zero. And I've even been
promoted! To the actual host of the show! I mean... wow! I'll be on national broadcast television! I really hope Darla watches this show, so she can see the hot new host, and see just how slick I am now, and realize that she never should have rejected me, dammit, because maybe I
was a nerd, and maybe I
did have bad skin, but that didn't mean
I didn't have feelings!Haha. Got a little off track there, didn't I? But like I think I was saying at some point in there, life has been getting so much better lately! A little better all the time!
Dennis can fall off a cliff, though.

Well, here's something unexpected -- I actually have a friend! You know, someone to go have coffee with and go to... I don't even know, things with! I mean, you know me, I've been sort of a, uh, loner since I finished school. But that's over now! See, despite my Buffy-convention-induced ecstasy, you might have picked up on a little bit of anger there too. Yes, I was in a pretty bad mood for most of... last... well, month. And you know what always helps when you're feeling all bad-moody--
A nice big piece of tiramisu!
Yes, sir! And A la Mode is right down the street from my apartment, and they have some damn good desserts, so I went there last week to... make my sorrows choke on some cream and ladyfingers! And the waiter I had, he's this college kid, and I guess he was concerned because of the general "I hate myself and I want to die" aura I had at the time, so he talked to me for a while. And he said his name was Todd Maclay, so I was like, "Ha, what, are you related to Tara?" which would have gotten a big old, "Uh, what?" from most people, but it turned out this guy was a Buffy fan too! And so a nice little friendship was born!
Sometimes he'll come over and we'll watch old Buffy episodes together, or play the horrendously complicated board game, or just have discussions about the varying qualities of the different seasons and that kind of thing. I honestly don't understand why he'd want to waste his time... "hanging out" with me. You know, he's friendly and young, and there are plenty of hot college girl Buffy fans he could be watching it with. I don't know, this is probably a pity friendship, which was the story of my high school life, but it's kind of nice anyway.
